SHAPING REALITIES with Jörg

During my time at Werkstattschule, I had the opportunity to attend a workshop on concrete sculpture with Jörg, one of the skilled craftsmen at the workshop. He taught us various techniques for working with concrete, from mixing the material to sculpting it into shape.

Jörg started by showing us how to create a wire frame for our sculpture, which would serve as the base for the concrete. Then, we mixed the concrete and applied it to the frame, carefully shaping it to our desired form. Jörg taught us how to use different tools to create texture and detail in the sculpture, such as a chisel and a wire brush.

What I found particularly interesting was when Jorg encouraged us to create sculptures of creatures from the forest, such as small animals or tree spirits. It was a fun and creative way to explore the medium of concrete and connect with the natural surroundings of the workshop.

Overall, Jörg's guidance and expertise made the workshop a truly enriching experience. Not only did I learn new techniques and skills, but I also had the opportunity to tap into my creativity and imagination.
